  14 The only addition with respect to the 5th ACK distribution is the support
  15 for Solaris 2 on SPARCs. It also contains many bug fixes.

  17 Notes for the 5th ACK distribution:

  19 It is not wise to mix files created by the previous version of the Kit
  20 with files belonging to this version, although that might sometimes work.
  21 Many problems with the previous distribution have been fixed.
  22 The major additions are:

  24         - an ANSI C compiler
  25         - a LINT C program checker, both non-ansi and ansi
  26         - an Intel 80386 back-end
  27         - a SPARC code expander
  28         - a source level debugger for Pascal, Modula-2, C, and ANSI C
  29         - an Acorn Archimedes back-end
  30         - code-expanders for VAX, Intel 80386 and Motorola M68020 processors,
  31           and very fast Pascal, Modula-2, ANSI C, and C compilers constructed
  32           using these code expanders
  33         - a cc-compatible very fast C compiler for SUN-3 and VAX.
